Job Role-


Exciting opportunity has become available for a Chartered Physiotherapist to become an important member of West Ham United Academy’s Football Medicine Department and join an experienced multi-disciplinary team.


 


Main Responsibilities:


       As a key member of the U18 MDT, take the lead on ensuring Football Science & Medical staff form an integral part of the planning and delivery of a holistic football development programme.  


       Provide a high quality Physiotherapy service to the U18 squad – including the diagnosis of injuries, planning and delivery of treatment & rehabilitation. Liaise with Head of Football Science & Medicine regarding the need for further investigation or onward referral.  


       Work collaboratively with Physical Development staff to develop and deliver holistic rehabilitation programmes which focus on developing the athlete, not just recovering from injury.  


       Take initiative to identify individual risk factors and put in place interventions to mitigate against injury.  


       Ensure that all U17/18 training sessions & matches have appropriate medical cover, in line with FA & PL guidelines, meeting ATMMIF level standards. 


       Keep up to date medical records on PMA in line with CSP guidelines. 


       Ensure U18s player whereabouts is consistently kept up to date in line with FA requirements. 


       Provide personal and professional support to other members of the Academy Medical team. As part of this, take an active role in the organisation of In-house CPD events.


       Continually evolve and develop department policies in line with current research, guidelines & practice.


       Integrate within, and drive a culture of Elitism, with Individual development at the forefront.

Job Responsibilities-


Under the responsibility of the Emergency Pool/Area Manager, and in close coordination with the HQ Physical and Functional Rehabilitation Specialist, the Emergency Physical and Functional Rehabilitation Manager will be in charge of-


Participating to initial diagnosis of the emergency response operations following a humanitarian crisis and contributing to the development of the wider operational strategy;

Leading and coordinating Physical and functional rehabilitation operations deployment in the framework of new program or area/project opening following a disaster, in accordance with Humanity & Inclusion´s rules and standards and those of its donors; 

Representing and promoting Humanity & Inclusion´s mandate in the framework of the emergency responses in your field of expertise;

Contributing to the institutional capitalization and participate in the development and update of Humanity & Inclusion´s emergency methodologies, procedures, tools and trainings.

Qualification-


Diploma in Physical and Functional Rehabilitation (Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist);

Proven experience of at least 2 years in a Manager/Coordination position within the domain of physical and functional rehabilitation and complementary experience in the MHPSS and inclusion sectors;

Confirmed experience in team management and representation

Good knowledge of emergency donors regulations and process

Experience in opening missions is a plus.
