2) National Professional Officer (Cardio Vascular Disease)

Description Of Duties-

Under the overall guidance of the Deputy Head of Country Office India, and the direct supervision of Team Leader-Non Communicable Diseases, with a view to achieve the expected results set out in the relevant WCO-lndla biennial work plans in accordance with WHO's Country Cooperation Strategy with India (2019-2023), as part of the WCO-lndla team working on NCDs and Co-morbidities, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:


 Provide technical support to Cardiovascular Health Officers (CVHOs) at state level for planning, training, surveillance, monitoring and evaluation of hypertension and diabetes treatment and control activities.


 Conduct regular visit to the program states and selected districts with the objective of providing on the ground supportive supervision to CVHOs, as well as program officers at the state and/or district-level.


 Identify and help address training and capacity building needs of CVHOs and program staff at state and district levels, on technical as well as programme management components.


 Assist in development and revision of training modules for various cadres of staff.


 Conduct data verification, data aggregation and reporting at national level, (e.g.,prevalence, treatment, control).


 Analyze and interpret surveillance and epidemiological data to support appropriate follow up actions at state level.


 Facilitate implementation of sound drug logistics management practices, including training of relevant program staff at state and district levels.


 Guide the work of and ensure timely performance assessment of State CVHOs and provide timely feedback.


 Provide regular feedback and reports to the NPO-NCD at WHO India on adherence to clinical treatment protocols and performance on hypertension control based on clinical data and public health surveillance measures.


 Provide support In making presentations, draft reports and strategic documents required for decision making and implementing; Work in close coordination and consultation with the NPO NCD and other members of the NCO Team at WHO Country Office.


 Contribute to other activities, as considered relevant, for the effective planning and implementation of the initiative as per guidance of the Team Lead for NCDs.



Required Qualifications-

Education

Essential: University degree in health, public health, or a related field from a recognized university.

Desirable: Master's degree in public health or in profession's allied to public health.


 


Experience-

Essential: At least 2 years of experience in the relevant field with experience in project management and programme evaluation.

Desirable: Experience of work in UN and/or other international organizations in development of advocacy materials and in organizing training activities.





Skills-

The incumbent should identify with the core values of the World Health Organization.

Thorough knowledge of policies, strategies and guidelines in the area of NCDs and their risk factors, with a focus on the management of hypertension in primary health care, with good understanding of country's needs and priorities.

Good knowledge of ways to work with government institutions and related departments/ agencies and experience of work in an international environment.

Sound technical and policy advisory skills. based on evidence. Ability to coordinate, plan and implement projects, organize training activities, effectively monitor and analyse data and make oral and written presentations.

Very good ability to build and maintain relations and network with national authorities and other stakeholders across relevant sectors. Understanding of the potential motivating factors within national context and ability to adjust to new approaches in an increasingly complex environment.

Modern management skills (planning and evaluation, etc.). Capacity to convey information and options in a structured and credible way; ability to speak and write clearly.

Proficiency in computer applications and ability to draft reports. Knowledge of WHO /UN agencies programmes and practices will be an advantage.

 


 

 


Use of Language Skills-

Essential: Expert knowledge of English. Knowledge of Hindi.


 


Remuneration-

Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at INR 2,476,526 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.

3) Rochdale AFC Academy Vacancy for Sports Rehabilitator / Sports Therapist


Rochdale AFC Academy having vacancy for Sports Rehabilitator / Sports Therapist.




Responsibilities-


Provide a treatments/rehabilitation player attendance procedure and ensure all players/staff are aware of the process and procedures in order to understand the methodology in place in order to receive such treatment/rehabilitation. 

Implement the treatment of injuries strategy for the Academy players and keep all Academy Management abreast of progress. 

Monitor players and report their progress on a regular basis, completing the relevant report forms. 

Ensure that players are provided with the full range of treatments in the aid to recovery and return to full fitness. 

Manage the treatments programme within the parameters of the Club’s Code of Conduct and Policies and Procedures on the treatment and management of injuries. 

Use PMA to maintain all registers and complete the specific treatment of injuries records for all players attending for treatment or diagnosis. 

Provide a month-to-month injury report and a four monthly detailed injury audit for YDP and FP. 

Deliver the treatment programmes associated with a professional football club using the required methods that meet the needs of the players. 

Provide the Academy Management and players with relevant information in order that they are fully aware of the treatment programme and what is required to aid a return to full fitness. 

Be actively involved in developing and enhancing the treatment and management of injuries programme, associated with players involved in a professional football club. 

Analyse and review the treatment and management of injuries programme on a regular basis in order to adapt the programme to meet specific player and squad needs. 

Provide reports to the Head of Sport Science and Medicine/ Academy Manager/ Academy Head of Coaching/Phase Leads on the players who have undergone treatment and rehabilitation on their progress and games performance when returning from injury/treatment. 

Attend staff meetings as scheduled. 

Maintain qualifications to the minimum requirements: ITMMiF, FA Safeguarding Children Certificate; FA Enhanced DBS check. 

Enhance and develop qualifications to meet the demands and needs of Rochdale AFC’s Medical department.


Qualification-


ITMMiF – essential. However, Rochdale AFC will support the right candidate in achieving such qualification should they not already possess this. 


Degree in Sport Rehabilitation / Sports Therapy – desirable 


Background within football 


Knowledge of the Elite Player Performance Plan 

 

Computer literate.
